ABOUT SAHAR
סהר לב-שומר
Sahar is an actor and performer based in New York City. He originated the role of Jake in the world premiere of "Oklahoma Samovar" at La MaMa ETC, and was an actor in 'The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals' 2026 cohort.
Sahar was a member of the first Dot in the Box Theatre Company ensemble, where he was mentored by Billy Bustamante. As part of the company, he played Macbeth in “Macbeth” directed by Mark Nelson, and was a soloist in the new musical workshop of “buried” by Berkson & Malina.
Sahar is a recent graduate from Circle in the Square Theatre School with an emphasis in musical theatre, winning
the inaugural Alan Langdon Award for
Excellence in Contemporary Theatre.
Theatre is Sahar’s religion in a very deep way that can make him cry but also in a way that isn’t as pretentious as it sounds in writing. He agrees with anything Andrew Scott has ever said about acting. Most recently Sahar has improvised a shakshuka recipe and it turned out delicious.
